Installing the Back - Invacare Power Wheelchairs with Power
Recline
NOTE:
This
mounting
system
is
fixed
and
does
not
allow
for
width,
angle
or
depth
adjustment.
NOTE:
For
this
procedure,
refer
to
and
1.
Place
a
flat
washer
onto
two
hex
head
screws.
2.
Insert
a
hex
head
screw
into
each
mounting
hole
in
the
back
cane
mounting
bracket.
3.
Loosely
attach
the
hex
head
screws
and
flat
washers
to
the
back
cane
mounting
bracket
with
two
t
‐
nuts.
4.
Repeat
STEPS
1
‐
3
to
attach
the
hardware
to
the
opposite
back
cane
mounting
bracket.
5.
Align
and
insert
the
t
‐
nuts
into
the
T
‐
slots
in
the
back
canes.
6.
Adjust
the
back
to
the
desired
position
on
the
back
canes.
7.
Loosely
tighten
the
hex
head
screws.
NOTE:
If
no
other
height
adjustment
is
necessary,
proceed
to
STEP
11
of
this
procedure.
8.
On
each
side
of
the
wheelchair,
loosen
but
DO
NOT
remove
the
two
socket
head
screws
that
secure
the
back
shell
and
washer
plates
to
the
back
cane
mounting
bracket.
9.
Adjust
the
back
to
the
desired
height
along
the
vertical
slots
on
both
sides
of
the
back
shell.
10. Tighten
the
socket
head
screws
securing
the
washer
plates
and
back
shell
to
the
back
cane
mounting
brackets.
11. Securely
tighten
the
hex
head
screws.
NOTE:
After
installation
and
before
use,
pull
up
on
the
back
to
ensure
it
is
locked.
