12. Ensure
that
the
patient’s
feet
are
directly
under
them.
13. Begin
raising
the
lift
arms.
14. On
a
count
of
three,
instruct
the
patient
to
pull
and
stand
‐
up
while
the
caregivers
support
with
the
gait
belt.
WARNING
DO NOT lift the patient.
15. Once
the
patient
is
standing,
unlock
the
lift
wheels
(Detail
“D”).
16. Remove
the
lift
to
allow
the
patient
to
walk.
