Charging the Batteries
Only use the Charger supplied with the wheelchair.
Your Charger is equipped with dual voltage, (i.e.115v and 230v)
ensure the Charger is set to the appropriate voltage compatible
with your Mains Supply, Fig.28a.
The Charger is intended for interior use only and must be
protected from moisture. Always charge your Batteries in a well
ventilated area.
If the wheelchair is to be taken out of service for a long period of
time, it is recommended that arrangements are made for the Batteries to be
charged at least once every month.
Depending on the condition of the Batteries, charging
can take between 4 and 10 hours to fully charged. This
will be indicated by the light status on the charger end
panel, changing to green.
NOTE:
Charging for longer than necessary will not
harm the Batteries, however, it is recommended that
the Batteries are charged for 8 to 10hours after daily
use, but not charged continuously for more than
24hours.
Charging Instructions
Park your wheelchair close enough to a Mains power
socket outlet, to enable the Charger mains cable to
reach the socket and the Charger power cord (with
round plug) to safely reach the socket on the underside
of the Remote Controller, Fig.28b.
Connect the Charger Power Cable to the Remote Controller, Fig.28b and plug
Mains cable into the Mains 240v socket. Switch-on at the socket.
One Orange and one Green light will illuminate when the Charger is switched “ON”,
Fig.29a.
When the Orange light changes to Green, the
charging process is complete, Fig.29b
The Green power light will stay “ON” until the
power is disconnected and the Charger power
cord is removed from the wheelchair.
Please also refer to the instruction sheet
supplied with Battery Charger.
