FAQ

• What is the best placement of the purifier in a room?

About 50 cm of free space should be around the purifier to allow proper air circulation. The purified

air is released by the front part of the unit. Its part with the controlling panel should therefore face

the room. No metal object (like a radiator) should be placed immediately in front of the purifier; the

released negative ions would otherwise be discharged straight away.

• How long should the unit be switched on?

The air purifier Ionic-CARE Triton X6 needs 3 hours at least to purify one medium-sized room. The

effect of the space purification then lasts for 3 hours after the unit is switched off. Regarding the unit

parameters (minimum energy consumption, noiseless operation), it is recommended to use the purifier

continuously, i.e. 24 hours daily, 7 days in a week. See that the selected purifier power corresponds to

the area of the room where the unit is used.

•  Is one purifier enough for one flat?

You can use one unit if you let the doors between rooms open and air thus can circulate freely. If rooms

in the flat are not interconnected, the purifier should be placed in a room where most people are during

the day. At night, place the unit to the bedroom or children’s room, or buy more units.

• Can the unit be placed within the reach of children and animals?

If children can reach the unit, they can knock it over, put various objects through the ribs etc., which

could endanger both them and the proper operation of the purifier. Animals can also knock the unit

over or wet it. The purifier should therefore be placed out of reach of both children and animals, e.g.

on a cabinet or table.

• Can I use the ioniser near an electronic nanny or cardiac pacemaker?

Electronic nannies work with higher frequencies while the cardiac pacemakers with lower frequencies

than the unit. They cannot therefore interfere with each other.

• Can I disassembly the unit and clean the inner part of it?

No intervention in the unit is recommended because even after it is disconnected from the electrical

network, high voltage still persists there and an electrical accident can occur. Moreover, warranty will

be cancelled by an intervention in the unit. Therefore, please contact our technical department In case

of any problem.

• Where is it not suitable to use the purifier?

Placement of the unit near greater number of candles or open fire (e.g. fireplace) is not recommended,

especially if coal is used. The captured soot can, contrary to other impurities, release and deposit on

objects near the purifier. Do not use the unit in damp environment (e.g. in a bathroom); relative humi-

dity should not exceed 60 %.

• What is the life of Ionic-CARE?

If the unit is handled in accordance with the Instructions for Use, its life is absolutely unlimited.

• Ozone

Ozone is a natural part of air, i.e. also of air we breathe outdoors. It is dangerous for human health in very

high concentrations only. All air purifiers with embedded ioniser do produce ozone. The air purifiers

Ionic-Care Triton X6 are designed to produce as least ozone as possible. They are continuously tested in

accredited laboratories and at the State Health Institute in Prague. Independent tests have proved that

ozone production is highly below the limit and guarantee 100% safety of the air purifiers Ionic-CARE.

Hygienic limit for ozone production: 0.05 ppm

Ozone production by Ionic-CARE Triton X6: 0.005 ppm
