emu3/emu3ACO Operation Guide
Version 2.1
Overcurrent Protection Operation
Tripped state
Once the current has been measured above the trip level for 30 consecutive seconds, all the outputs will be switched
off. This is the tripped state. In this state the front panel LEDs will continue to flash in 2 groups of 6, as for the
countdown state.
Should the current fall below the warning level after the unit has entered either the warning state or the countdown
state, the LEDs will immediately stop flashing and return to their normal display state and any active countdown will
stop.
Once in the tripped state, the unit will remain in this state until the trip is reset or power is cycled. Whilst in this state,
the outputs cannot be controlled via any of the user interfaces ( i.e. Web Interface/IDS Bridge/Telnet/SNMP).
The trip can be reset by clicking
RESET TRIP
in the top right hand corner of the Web Interface or via one of the other
user interfaces (refer to the respective interface documentation for full details). If the trip is reset via one of the user
interfaces, all the outputs will remain switched off but they can now be controlled via the user interfaces.
If the power is cycled while the unit is in the tripped state the outputs will power up normally according to the unit’s
configured Power Up Sequence.
