for at least five minutes. Look through the
sight glass on top of the receiver-drier
(Fig. 76). If any bubbling is observed the
system needs charging (contact your IT-
MCo. Dealer). If the sight glass is clear
and cooling is evident, the system is fully
charged. If the sight glass is clear, cooling
is not evident and the compressor electric
clutch is not engaged, the safety cut-out
may be in operation or the temperature
control may have failed (contact your IT-
MCo. Dealer for assistance).
Condenser (Fig. 77)
Clean the condenser — Flexible
maintenance.
If the system is not performing prop-
erly, it may be necessary. due to operat-
ing conditions, to remove the side access
panels and blow out any dust etc. in and
around the condenser. Proceed as follows:
Caution
Do not slacken any of the air con-
ditioning hoses to gain access to the
condenser.
1. Remove the two lower side panels.
2. Remove the two nuts (1) holding the
condenser (2) to the radiator.
3. Partially withdraw the condenser from
one side. Be careful not to damage the
fins on the mounting studs.

4. Clean the condenser by directing com-
pressed air, maximum pressure 7 bar
(100 lbf/in
2
), through the core in the
opposite direction to normal air flow.
5. Clean the other half of the condenser
by repeating procedure 4 on the other
side of the tractor.
6. After cleaning, refit the condenser and
tighten the nuts.
Compressor belt tension (Fig. 78)
Check the compressor belt tension
every 500 hours.
To adjust the belt:
1. Loosen the pivot bolts (1).
2. Loosen the slotted link bolt (2), repo-
sition the compressor (3) so that the
belt can be deflected 15 mm (1/2 in) at
the middle of the longest run.
