when the direction indicators are oper-
ated.
Starter switch (4 Fig. 2)
Warning
DO NOT attempt to start the engine,
other than from the driving position.
Note
Always turn the starter switch to the
OFF position when the tractor engine
has stopped.
Leaving the starter switch in the
auxiliary position may overheat the
instrument panel and discharge the
battery.
The starter switch has four positions:
1. Off.
Turn the key to this
position to stop the engine on
ITM 475 & ITM 485 tractors.
2. Auxiliary.
This position
permits the electrical servic-
es to be switched on without
the engine running.
3. Heat.
Moving the key to
the heat position energises
the thermostart heater coil
for cold weather starting.
4. Start.
Moving the key to
the start position supplies
power to the starter motor
and maintains power supply
to the thermostart. For de-

see
page 32.

Press to operate.
Headlight dip switch (6 Fig. 2)
Press to dip the headlight main beam.
When the headlights are on main beam,
a blue warning light appears on the light
panel.
