IMPORTANT: Read all glass door
care instructions before starting
a fire in your fireplace.
CARE AND USE PRECAUTIONS
A fireplace equipped with glass doors oper-
ates much differently than a fireplace with an
open front. A fireplace with glass doors has a
limited amount of air for combustion.
Do not jar or hit glass panels as they could
shatter.
WARNING: Fireplaces
equipped with glass doors
should be operated only with
doors fully opened or doors fully
closed. Doors, if left partly open,
may draw gas and flame out of
the fireplace opening creating
risks of both fire and smoke.
CAUTION: Door handle may
be hot to the touch when opening
doors during operation.
Grout around frame if necessary to give your
fireplace a more finished appearance.
GLASS DOOR INSTALLATION
It is important that you remove glass doors
prior to installing your fireplace. To remove
doors, pull up and out to disengage pins.
Set doors aside until installation of fireplace
is complete. Reinstall doors by seating pin
on door into slot on enclosure frame (see
Figure 34).
Cleaning Glass
Clean glass with a mild soap and water solu-
tion. Use a soft bristle brush on smoke stains
if necessary being careful not to scrub too
hard. Avoid cleaners that contain ammonia,
abrasives or other harsh chemicals. Use com-
mercial glass cleaners or those provided by
fireplace equipment dealers to clean glass.
Allow doors to cool before cleaning.
