always consistent that is why there may be some deviations

to the number of steps you have perhaps counted by yourself

at one time. Don’t allow this to confuse you. A certain

counting tolerance (+/- 10%) is normal and will often

balance itself out over the day.

What is important though: Even with the error, your own

walking performance can still be monitored and

documented. Whether it’s 5000 or 5300 steps is not as

important as that you consciously, sufficiently and in a

healthy manner moved your body!

4.   Select a function (MODE)

Press the large key ‘MODE’ repeatedly until you have reached

the desired function. You have a selection of the following

4 functions:

-  STEP/TIME: Pedometer with time (in this mode you

can also set your personal details and the time)

-  DIST/STW: Distance measurement and stopwatch

-  KCAL/ODO: Used kcal and totalised distance

measurement memory

-  SETCAL/DAYCAL: Display and setting of the target

calories and the daily kcal consumption

SETCAL/DAYCAL is followed by the first function

(STEP/TIME) again.

As soon as you have reached the desired function, you can

move into the setting mode with the ‘SET’ key.  This will

only happen, however, if a setting is envisaged. Read the

corresponding descriptions on this to find out the exact

procedure here.

If you do not press any key for more than 1 minute in the

two modes KCAL/ODO and SETCAL/DAYCAL, the device will

automatically switch back to the time display (STEP/TIME).

In each of the modes above, the kcal used compared to the

entered target calories are displayed graphically and in 10%

steps at the top edge of the display in each of the above

modes. More on this in Chapter 4.4
