1.4  PRESET FUNCTION KEYS 

 
The following key types must be assigned. Some of them may not present on the scale.   
Contact your ISHIDA dealer for more details. 
 

PLU (PRESET) 

Used to access a PLU by simply 
pressing the preset 

PLU

 key. 

TARE (PRESET) 

Used to access a tare weight by simply 
pressing the preset 

TARE

 key. 

FIXED PRICE 

Used to temporarily change the price of
a fixed price item. 
1.  Call up a fixed price item. 
2.  Key in a new price. 
3. Press the 

FIXED PRICE

 key.

DISCOUNT PRICE 

Used to temporarily set a discounted 
selling price. 
1.  Key in the reduced price after a total 

price is displayed. 

2. Press the 

DISCOUNT PRICE

 key. 

Or, a set price can be assigned to the 
key. Recall the discount price by 
pressing the key.

AMOUNT DISCOUNT 

Used to temporarily perform an amount 
discount. 
1.  Key in an amount to be subtracted 

from the total price. 

2. Press the 

AMOUNT DISCOUNT

key. 

Or, a set discount amount can be 
assigned to the key. Recall the 
discount by pressing the key. 

PERCENT DISCOUNT 

Used to temporarily perform a percent 
discount. 
1.  Key in a percentage to be 

subtracted from the total price. 

2. Press the 

PERCENT DISCOUNT

key. 

Or, a set percentage discount can be 

assigned to the key. Recall the 
percentage discount by pressing the 
key. 

SAVE 

Used to maintain the called up PLU. 
1.  Call up a PLU. 
2. Press the 

SAVE

 key, and the SAVE 

indicator is lit. 

3.  PLUs remain called up after labels 

are printed. 

4. Press the 

SAVE

 key again to 

release. 

EXTRA MESSAGE 1 

Used to call up a message.   
Extra Message 1 prints as part of the 
main description immediately below the 
PLU Name.

1.  Call up a PLU. 
2.  Key in a message number. 
3. Press the 

MESSAGE

 key. 

Or, a message can be assigned to the 

key. Recall the message by pressing 
the key. 

 
PEEL TIMER   
(FIXED PRICE ITEM ONLY) 

Used to set a delay time between 
labels in Auto Print mode. 
1.  Call up a fixed price item. 
2.  Key in the interval time in units of 

one second. 

3. Press the 

PEEL TIMER

 key. 

DOUBLE 9 

Used to enter two 9’s at one time. 

DOUBLE 0 

Used to enter two 0’s at one time. 

 
PERCENT TARE 

Used to calculate a tare weight by 
entering a percentage. 
1.  Key in a percentage.     

Entered value is in tenths of a 
percent.   

Example: key in "103" for 10.3% 

tare. 

2. Press the 

PERCENT TARE

 key. 

Maximum entry is "500" (50.0%).
