General Safety Instructions
ATTENTION!
This information needs to be considered
during handling and operation of products
with the following description:
ISOPAD Tapes (IT),
Heating Tapes
Series IT-S20, IT-S45, IT-G, IT-G25,
IT-ITH and IT-H
These will be referred as “product” through-
out this manual for ease of context.
Please read the manual carefully ahead of use
of these products. Follow the declaration on
the type plate and the warning instructions at
the product. Keep this manual for later
appropriation! This manual needs to be held
in charge apparently. The products can be
operated only according to occupational
health and safety law, regional safety
regulations and instructions of the Accident
Prevention & Insurance Association.
Please take these advices as part of the
operating instructions of your QA-System
Handbook. Handle these advices also like a
manual. Never remove warning labels on the
product!
This product had been designed and
manufactured according to IEC 60519-1 and
IEC 60519-2. Operation, installation, supply
and maintenance of the product need to be
realized in accordance with these standards!
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT!
These products represent electrical
equipment! To prevent from danger caused
by electric energy, an earth leakage current
breaker (ELCB or RCD) has to be installed for
protection purpose. This ELCB should
represent a tripping current of 30mA.
To guard against electric shock, the products
have to be maintained and services by
authorized staff and users only!

The protective arrangement of Protection
Class I (protective earth) according to VDE
0100 (Germany) or to the relevant standards
in your country is to be taken into
consideration within the application for the
product. Metallic components coming in
contact with the product have to be
incorporated in the protection measures of
Protection Class I (protective earth). For
details please refer to the standards VDE 0100
(Germany) or to the relevant standards in
your country!

Infiltration of water or chemical components
used for examinations, can lead to harmful
electric shock. After a complete drying the
product can be taken back into operation.
Products which show bare heating conductors
have been overheated and misused. This
equipment has to be set off operation and
safely stored to prevent from reuse. Reuse
may lead to personal injury and needs to be
avoided!
Overheating of the product can be eliminated
by power reduction by implementing power
controllers between supply and application or
by temperature control.
