The Max Mix CO2 Reactor should be used in an upright position at all times.

Max Mix should be attached to the outlet of your external filter before returning to the tank.
1. First turn off the canister filter and CO2
2. Connect a CO2 hose from the CO2 tank to the CO2 inlet on the top of the Max Mix CO2 Reactor.
3. Connect the outlet hose from the canister filter to the side of the Max Mix CO2 Reactor.
4. Connect a return hose from the top center of the Max Mix CO2 Reactor to the tank (rain bar).
5. Make sure the bottom of the Max Mix CO2 Reactor is securely closed.
6. Turn on the Canister filter allowing water to flow through the Max Mix CO2 Reactor into the tank.
7. Turn the Max Mix CO2 Reactor completely upside down for a few seconds to allow the built up gases (air) to
escape.
8. Return the Max Mix CO2 Reactor to an upright position. This will allow a smooth flow of water from
Max Mix CO2 Reactor to your tank.
9. Repeat steps 6 and 7 if gases are still present at the top of the Max Mix CO2 Reactor until the CO2 Reactor
is full of water and no gases are present.
10. Turn on CO2 and adjust to desired bubble rate.
Note:
1. Be sure the inlet/outlet pipe and CO2 hose are securely fastened to the Max Mix CO2 Reactor
2. To assure best operation, built-up gas (air) has to be released in the beginning of operation
3. Do not put any filter media inside the reactor chamber. Floating ojects will affect or stop the operation of
the impeller.
