Radio Operation
To select the radio mode:
• Press
the
FUNCTION
button repeatedly until
the main display shows “
FM
”. FM frequency
will appear on the display.
To tune to the desired station manually:
•
Repeatedly press the
or
button until
the display shows the exact frequency of the
desired station.
•
Use the manual tuning method to tune to
weak or distant stations that are not strong
enough to be recognized by the automatic
tuning system.
To tune to the desired station by automatic
tuning:
•
Press and hold the
or
button until the
display begins to move, then release the
buttons.
•
The Tuner will search up or down the band
for the next strong signal and stop at that
station.
•
Repeat this procedure until the tuner stops
at your desired station. FM Stereo signal is
indicated by the “
((ST))
” indicator.
To select mono sound:
• Press
the
STEREO/MONO
button on the
remote control to select FM Mono mode.
To improve FM reception:
•
The FM lead wire antenna on the back panel
should be extended to its full length. You may
also have to vary the direction of this antenna
until you fi nd the position that provides the
best reception.
To preset stations in the tuner memory:
You can store up to 20 of your favorite stations in
the tuner memory for easy recall at any time.
1. Using either the manual or automatic tuning
method described on page 28, tune to the
fi rst station you wish to memorize. Example:
FM 103.5 MHz.
2. Press
the
PROG.
button on the remote
control.

The display shows “
Preset
” and the channel
number “
01
” indicator fl ashes.
3. Press the
or
button to select the
preset memory location. Example “
03
”.
4. Press the
ENTER
button, the “
03
” stops
fl ashing confi rming that the station has been
store in preset channel location “3”.
5. Tune to the next station you wish to store,
you can store up to 20 FM stations.
