Installation Procedure
(A) Removeprotectivecoversfrominletandoutlet
ofregulatorBothregulatorandtubingmustbe
cleaninordertoavoiddamage
(B) Installtheregulatorontothepipe,makingsure
thatarrowonthebodyfitswiththedirectionof
flow
(C) Connectcontrollinesofregulatorandshut-off
valvetoaturbulence-freezoneontothedown-
streampipeAmanometershouldalsobecon-
nected downstream the regulator It may be
necessarytoinstalllargerdiameterpipeonthe
downstreamsidetolimittheflowvelocity
(D) Checkallconnectionsbetweenregulator,safety
shut-offvalveandpipefortightnessIfsoapso-
lutionsareusedforchecking,dryregulatorthor-
oughly
(E) Forsettingthedownstreampressureturnclock-
wiseoranticlockwisedirectionthescrewonthe
topofthepilot
Caution:
in addition, the regulator must be installed
according to good engineering practice. The installa-
tion must also comply with national and/or interna-
tional standards.
Start- up Instructions
Caution:
before start-up, the installation must be
checked for leaks.
Tostart-uptheregulatorproperly,proceedasfollows
accordingtotheinstallationschemeshown
below:
(1) checkthattheupstreamanddownstreamvalves
andthebleedcockareclosed;
(2) iftheapparatusisfittedwiththeshut-offvalve,
theshut-offvalvemustbeclosed;Afterverifying
theabovementionedpoints,proceedasfolows:
Installation Scheme
(A) opentheupstreamstopvalve(1)slowlyand
justenoughtoensureaverysmallflowofgas;
checktheupstreampressuregauge(2);
(B) resettheshut-offvalve(seesection„Resetting
oftheshut-offvalve“);
(C) checkthatthedownstreampressureisrising
slowlyonthedownstreammanometer(7or
10):thedownstreampressureshouldstopat
the set pressure value or on a value a little
higher;
(D) whentheupstreampressureisalsostabilised,
slowlyopentheupstreamstopvalve(1)toa
fullopenposition;
(E) thenslowlyopenthedownstream11valve(8
or11)or;
AtthispointtheregulatorisinoperationLike-
wisetheprocesscanbefollowedfortheinstal-
lation of a monitor regulator in line with the
regulator(seeinstallationscheme),keepingin
mind that the manometer (7) installed be-
tweentheregulatorshastoindicatethesame,
orlittlehigher,pressurevalueastheupstream
manometer
Maintenance
Maintenanceisextremelydependantonthequal-
ityofthegasused(humidity,impurities,gasoline)
andtheefficiencyofthefilterusedupstreamofthe
regulator:itisrecommendedtoinstallupstreamof
the regulator a filter, which traps solid and liquid
particlespresentinthefluidthatwouldotherwise
impairtheproperfunctioningoftheapparatusDe-
pendingonthegasmoisturecontent,contamina-
tionandchemicalcomposition,occasionalclean-
ingmayberequired
Caution:
before any service operation, be sure that
upstream stop valve is closed and the gas installa-
tion is de-pressurised.
