Water resistance
Your IWC Official Agent must perform a new water
resistance test every time your IWC watch is opened and
serviced.
Recommendation:
In order to ensure the water resistance
of your watch, we recommend that you have the water
resistance tested once a year by an approved IWC Official
Agent.
Service for your Portuguese Chrono-Automatic
All the component parts of this watch are manufactured
from the best materials. In spite of this, a number of
parts are subject to natural wear. It is particularly import-
ant to ensure that the points of wear are always optimally
lubricated and that contamination of the oil by metal-
to-metal abrasion is eliminated in good time. This is why
we recommend that you have a maintenance service
carried out on your watch about every 4 years. Please
contact an approved IWC Official Agent or send your
watch directly to the IWC Customer Service Department
in Schaffhausen.
