The concept of linking the interna l a nd externa l SCSI devices is still the
sa me--- ca bled together in a single, connected series. This SCSI ca ble
must run sequentia lly from one device to the next, with no bra nches. The
ma nufacture provides two kinds of option --- Fa st SCSI a nd Wide SCSI
external expansion kit for user’s multiple choices.

3.6.3 Set SCSI IDs
You must a ssign a different SCSI ID to ea ch device on the SCSI bus
connected to the P55TU system boa rd. See your SCSI device
documenta tion for directions on how to determine the ID a nd cha nge it.

Ultra / Ultra Wide SCSI devices tha t connect to this ma inboa rd's SCSI
connector ca n be a ssigned ID from 0 to 15(for 68 pin Wide SCSI
connection). Norma lly, the host will use ID7. Or reference to Cha pter 5 for
more informa tion.

The SCSI ID0 is the best use for SCSI ha rd disk to be used a s your
computer's boot device, ID1 is best reserved for a seconda ry SCSI ha rd
disk.(This is only when you use the SCSI ha rd disks a nd devices.)
3.6.4 SCSI Chip Select
JP3 is a 3 pin jumper connector. This is for SCSI Ena bled/ Dsia bled
control.
