HARACTERISTICS
MMI BALI is a standard Windows application, with some variations resulting from the fact
that the man-machine interface of any system must permanently occupy the full area of
the screen when the said system is active.
•
The title bar does not include any «System» or «Min / Max» block
•
The size of the application can neither be modified nor reduced under the form of
icons.
MMI BALI is designed to allow the operator to either use the keyboard or mouse to select
the menus or commands. These selections are performed in a conventional manner, and
the reader is invited to consult the Windows documentation for further details.
The most recurrent operations are facilitated by the use of function keys and shortcuts; it
should be noted that the function keys may have different assignments depending on the
current environment in which the operator is involved. The use of each function key is
indicated in the paragraph describing the relevant command; besides, Appendix B
summarizes the use of all the shortcuts for both environments.
The following rules apply concerning display of numbers and units:
•
There is a gap between any value and the symbol of its unit
•
The decimal separator is a point, and not a comma
•
The number of decimals is constant for a given parameter
The MMI BALI is available in the following languages: French and English.
