The acoustic transponder must be opened in a dry and clean area.
Please refer to the appropriate hook User Manual.
If the user wants to have access to the acoustic transponder's electronic assemblies, it
must be partially dismounted as follows:

FROM ANY SHOCK AND MUST REMAIN FREE FROM SCRATCHES

Step
Action
1.
Lay the device down horizontally.
2.
Refer to the User Manuel of the release hook mounted on the RT8x1 transponder to get
access to the central closing nut fitted on the lower end cap.
3.
With the size 10 Allen key, loosen the central closure nut 9101638B on the lower end
cap, one of the two end caps must move away from the tube.
4.
Pull out the upper end cap (transducer side) with care to have access to the transducer
connector of the electronic PCB.
5.
Disconnect connector.
6.
Remove upper end cap.
7.
Pull the internal structure, integral with the lower end cap, featuring the electronic
assemblies out of the tube housing.
