1.3. Description of the Acoustic Release
1.3.1. General
The AR 6X1 series Acoustic Releases are multipurpose acoustic receivers/transmitters, which
use a secure low frequency command code structure for reliable deep-sea operations. These units
can execute acoustic remote controls such as acoustic replies and/or releases.
AR 6X1 unit is fitted with a ranging function (through the "RANGE" telecommand code) to
assist relocation.
The codes are transmitted with a telecommand unit (model TT 201 or TT301).
Acoustic commands to activate the remote control use a secure and reliable FSK-2 states
telemetry link with more than 30 000 codes.
AR 6X1 series use C-MOS technology and signal processing at very low current consumption.
