Recycling the Battery
DANGER
¡
Do not use a battery that has been removed.
The battery is for use in the main unit only. Do not use it for other
devices.
¡
Handle the battery carefully.
Damaging the battery or hitting it against another object, disas-
sembly or modification, heating, or contacting the terminals with
metal objects could result in the generation of heat, fire, and
rupture of the battery.
¡
If the battery is removed, place it out of the reach of children.
If the battery is swallowed, consult your physician immediately.
¡
If battery fluid is leaking from the battery, do not touch it with
your bare hands.
Getting battery fluid in your eyes could cause blindness. If bat-
tery fluid gets in your eyes or on your skin, immediately flush the
area with water and consult your physician.
¡
Do not disassemble this product, unless for disposal.
Doing so could result in fire, electrical shock, or injury. If the
product is disassembled, repair is not possible. For repairs such
as replacing the battery, contact your dealer or the Maxell Co.,
Ltd. service department for assistance.
The Ni-Cd battery used in this product is recy-
clable. When disposing of the product, remove
the battery and take it to a store that recycles
rechargeable batteries.

Removing the Battery Before Disposing of the Main Unit

The following information is for disposing of the product,
and not for making repairs. Once the product is disas-
sembled by the customer, we can no longer guarantee the
performance.

Disconnect the power adapter from the
main unit, and set the switch to “care”
to use the battery completely.

Failing to completely run
down the battery could
result in electrical shock,
fire, or burns.

Remove the fabric protective ring, outer
blade, inner blade, and lint box.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the
1 screw indicated.
