An opening has purposely been left under inside doors, in order to
ensure effective and draught free air flow in the house. If these
openings are closed off, with door rubbers or thick carpets, the
air flow in the house will stagnate. The system will then no longer
function optimally. Opening windows and doors also has a negative
effect on optimal functioning of the system.
☞
The intake and exhaust valves in the living room and bedrooms
and/or hall are properly set by the installer so that the air supply
and air exhaust are in balance. These settings must not be altered.
☞
The WHR is protected against freezing of the counterflow exchang-
er. A temperature sensor has been fitted in the exhaust air for this
purpose. At too low a temperature, the speed of the intake fan is
electronically reduced, so that less heat is extracted from the
exhaust air and the risk of freezing is avoided.
3.4 Operation of bypass
The WHR can optionally be fitted with an automatic bypass. When the
bypass is opened, the exhaust air is led through the bypass and not
through the counterflow exchanger. This allows for so-called "free cooling"
during night time hours in the summer months. After all, the relatively cool
outside air is not heated by the warmer indoor air. The temperature at
which the bypass becomes operational can be set by the user. The WHR
display has a ‘Comfort temperature’ key for this purpose. The WHR will
work to the temperature set.
4. Use
4.1 Ventilation positions
The system can be switched into the following positions using either the three-
position switch (if fitted) in the kitchen or the non-powered extractor hood:
Position 1 low
In this position, the air supply and exhaust fan is set at minimum. This
position can be activated during long-term absence and possibly at night.
Position 2 medium
In this position, the air supply and exhaust fan is set at a normal rate of
revolutions.
Position 3 high
In this position, the air supply and exhaust fan is set at a high rate of
revolutions. Select this position when cooking or showering.
☞
Do not fit a powered extractor hood to this system
☞
The plug should always remain in the socket unless the unit has to
be deactivated due to a serious malfunction or another matter of
urgency. If the plug is removed, mechanical ventilation of the home
will cease and moisture or mould problems may occur in time.
Therefore, you should avoid switching the unit off for longer periods.
Contact your installer in the case of any malfunction. If a malfunction code
can be seen on the display, please contact the installer.

OK
This key is used to confirm chosen values/parameters. OK is used as reset
in the case of filter cleaning.
Intake on
The green led is illuminated when the intake fan is switched on. On warm
summer days, windows and/or doors are often left open. In this situation,
press this key to switch off the intake fan.
☞
Under normal conditions: intake on.
☞
Units with a "bypass" cannot provide night cooling if the intake fan
is switched off. You are therefore advised to keep the intake fan
switched on.
Summertime
Only applies to units with a timer. Without a timer, the display shows
"-- -- --". When summer time is chosen, the green led is illuminated.
This key can be used to switch from summer time to winter time or from
winter time to summer time. The display shows the timer hours.
Comfort temperature
Only applies to units with a "bypass". Without a "bypass", the display
shows "-- -- --". This key can be used to check the set target temperature
and to change it if required. If you wish to change the temperature, press
the
▲
key or the
▼
key until you reached the required value. Now press
the OK key and the new value will be stored in the memory. We
recommend setting the comfort temperature somewhat higher in the
winter than in the summer.
5. User maintenance
5.1 General
Maintenance by the user is limited to periodic cleaning of the filters and
air intake and exhaust valves and replacing the filters annually. Twice a
year, the display on the operating panel will show alternating texts "Fil"
followed by "tER" as a reminder that the filters must be cleaned. It is
recommended that all valves be cleaned at the same time as the filters.
The installation must not be used without filters.

Check the free flow of the condensation drain in and outside the
unit, and the siphon, once a year.
