MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS
J-Tech recommends that, along with the pre-and
post-use inspections, you perform quarterly
maintenance checks on your LaneBlade® and the
vehicle to which it is attached. These quarterly
maintenance checks will help ensure your
LaneBlade® and vehicle are safe.
MAINTENANCE SAFETY WARNINGS
Lower LaneBlade® when vehicle is
parked. Keep 8' clear of the
LaneBlade® drop zone. Temperature changes
could change hydraulic pressure, causing the
LaneBlade® to drop unexpectedly or damaging
hydraulic components. Failure to do this can
result in serious personal injury.
Always support the LaneBlade®
with appropriate jack stands when
performing maintenance.
Always park the vehicle in a safe
and level area before performing
maintenance.
Always turn off vehicle ignition
when working on your
LaneBlade®.
Do not drop LaneBlade® parts on
hands or feet.
Always follow your company’s
lifting guidelines when moving
heavy parts.
Always disconnect battery from
vehicle before working on any
electrical components, wiring, or accessories.
Be aware of the possibility of
electrical fire or arc-flash in the
event of any unintentional damage to electrical
wires or components when performing
maintenance on the LaneBlade® system
.
Wear safety glasses, chemical
resistant gloves, and a face shield
when performing maintenance on your
LaneBlade®, the vehicle battery or electrical
system, or the LaneBlade® hydraulic system.
Hydraulic fluid, oil, and other
fluids are used in the installation,
maintenance, and use of your LaneBlade®. Many
of these fluids present a hazard by slipping on
spilled fluid. Always clean up spilled fluids
following your company’s spill-cleanup
requirements.
Always check area for bystanders
and equipment before moving
vehicle
.
Always have a fire extinguisher
rated ABC on hand before
servicing your LaneBlade®.
