12.5 FUEL GAUGES
Two different fuel gauge systems are used in the J230 family. The first uses sight gauges
located in the wing roots while the second uses senders in the tanks to drive electronic
(LCD) gauges fitted in the instrument panel.
NOTE
Both gauges are intended to require no servicing – the information below is
provided for reference.
12.5.1
DESCRIPTION – SIGHT GLASSES
The gauge consists of an aluminium body with a clear window which allows fuel level to be
read directly. Decals fixed to the window show fuel level. Refer to Figure 51 for details of
the gauge assembly.
12.5.2
FUEL SIGHT GAUGE REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
1.
Remove the wing as detailed in Section 5.1.1 above.
2.
Remove the gauge from the aircraft.
3.
Reverse the preceding steps for installation.
