TOWING
The 30 / 36 Elevator is designed to be towed by a suitable towing vehicle. The 30/36 elevator
weighs 7720 lbs.
Prior to towing the following procedure should be followed.
1. Start the engine, then use the hydraulic jack to raise the front of the bin to the height
that allows the transit link to be raised, then pin and lock to the bin frame.
2. Using the Hydraulic Jack raise the tongue and hook the vehicle to elevator
and attach the safety chain to the vehicle.
A. After hook up is complete, use the toggle switch in front of the elevator or
the rocker switch on the control panel to raise the hydraulic jack to its full up
position.
B. Turn OFF engine and turn elevator control panel arm toward rear of elevator.
3. If the elevator has the Wood Chuck Option:
A. Swing incline stick conveyor to rear.
B. Secure conveyor with pin and pin lock ring or bolt.
4. Check tire pressure.
5. Attach turn & stop lights if you are towing the elevator on a public road or highway.
Now you are ready to move to the next location.
