ng the grind Mode
:
There are two modes of operation that can be selected: welding or grinding.
By selecting the Grind mode, the fi lter switches off and it will not be triggered by the sparks generated
during grinding. The grind mode can be selected in two ways on the external button or by pressing the
GRIND button on the inside of the helmet .To set the ADF to grind mode externally press the centre
Grind button located externally on fi ne tune adjustment knob the side of the welding helmet. When the
ADF grind mode tit is indicated on the left hand display showing a shaded triangle next to the mode. To
return to the welding mode press the grind button again either internally of externally. Before restarting
welding work, the ADF should be set back to the »Weld« position.
Replacement of batteries:

Place the helmet face down. Tilt the headgear unit the sweatband is closer to the top of the
helmet. Now undo the thumb screw turning it anti-clockwise (Fig. 1), remove the thumb screw
and put

to one side.

Lift the retainer frame upwards until it is at an angle of roughly 45 degrees (Fig 2). The gen-tly
pull the frame towards the chin of the helmet this will release the hooks (Fig. 3).

To release the ADF from the cradle simply push the ADF out whilst holding the retainer (push
from viewing side but not on the glass)

The battery trays are located on the bottom of the ADF below the solar panel (Fig 4) using

your fi
ngernail pull the trays out (the tray will depict the polarity showing which side is + and which side
is negative.

Once the batteries have been replaced please follow steps in reverse for refi tting

Troubleshooting

Irregular Darkening Dimming
Headgear has been set unevenly and there is an uneven distance from the eyes to the fi lter lens (Reset the
headgear to reduce the difference to the fi lter)

Auto-Darkening fi lter does not darken or fl ickers

Front cover lens is soiled or damaged (Change the cover lens).

Sensors are soiled (Clean the sensors surface).

Usando un cacciavite negativo piccolo, separare il disco rotante con un movimento di lieve attor-
cigliamento. Togliere le 2 viti positive dall’interno del casco e spingere il pulsante “Grind” dall’ester-
no del casco, verso dentro. Fig 11, 12)

Per rilasciare l’ADF dal proprio vano, spingere semplicemente l’ADF in fuori, mentre si mantiene
l’elemento di trattenimento (spingere dal lato di visuale, ma non sul vetro)
5.
Installare l’ADF sostitutivo seguendo le fasi in ordine opposto. I comandi dovranno essere infi lati
attraverso la fessura apposita verso l’esterno del casco e quindi alloggiati nella fessura stessa. Il
cavo elettrico va premuto con cautela sul lato del casco, in modo che non sia di intralcio.

È necessario che le celle solari e i sensori di luce del fi ltro auto-oscurante per saldatore siano sempre
puliti e privi di polvere o altri residui: La pulizia può essere eseguita con un panno morbido pulito imbevuto
