SET-UP
3.0 PREPARATION_____________________________________________________________
The set-up and initial testing of the unit should always be
performed by a qualified technician.
Do not attempt to drive the
tractor unless you are familiar
with this type of equipment and know how to
operate all controls correctly.
1.
Read each instruction completely and make sure you
understand it before proceeding with the assembly.
2.
The “Right” and “Left”, “Front” and “Rear” of the
machine are referenced from the operator’s seat
when facing the direction of forward travel.
3.
Park the tractor on a flat and level surface, engage
the parking brake, stop the engine, and remove the
key from the ignition switch.
3.1 CASTER INSTALLATION _____________________________________________________
1.
Keep all mowers in the transport position. Do not cut
the bands securing the mowers to the frame.
2.
Set cutting height as specified by the customer.
3.
To assemble the swivel casters, position the number
of spacers (C ), as described in Section 10.0, over
the pivot shaft and slide the shaft through the arm.
Place remaining spacers (C ) on top of the arm, add
one spring washer (E) one thin spacer (B) and
secure the assembly with a snap lock pin (A).

Assemble one wheel (F) to each bracket (G) as
shown. Bend the ends of the cotter pin around the
caster pin. Adjust the caster for proper cutting height
as described in Section 10.0.

Cut and remove all shipping bands.
6.
To release the transport latch on the wing mowers,
start the tractor engine, increase engine speed to
2000 RPM and raise the mowers all the way up.
a.
Pull both latch knobs located behind your right
and left elbow on the engine firewall.
b.
The tractor is shipped with the ground pressure
knob set for the maximum mower weight. Adjust
ground pressure knob to its lowest setting to aid
in lowering the lift arms. Refer to Section 9.8.
c.
Test the lift system to ensure proper operation:
“Raise”, “Lower”, and “Float”.

Refer to Sections 9.0 and 10.0 for any other adjust-
ments that may be required before delivery.
3.2 FINAL CHECK ______________________________________________________________
1.
Make Certain all the set-up procedures have been
properly completed and all hardware has been
securely fastened.
2.
Check the tire pressure, engine and hydraulic oil
levels.
3.
Test the operator back-up system.
4.
Continue with the Pre-delivery Check List.
5.
If this tractor is driven on public roads, it must
comply with state and local ordinances. contact local
authorities for regulations and equipment require-
ments.
6.
Upon completion of the check list sign and date the
form in the manual and retain a copy for your
records.
