STEERING ADJUSTMENTS _________________________________________________
1.
Turn wheels to straight ahead position.
2.
Loosen jam nuts (Q) on both sides of tie rod (R).
3.
Turn tie rod (R) to provide proper toe-in. Toe-in must
not 1/16” (1.5 mm) (S). Align ball joints and
tighten jam nuts.
4.
After adjusting tie rod, adjust steering cylinder by
threading ball joint (T) in or out so spindle arm
clears the stop on the axle by 1/16 to 1/8 in. (1.5 to
3 mm) when cylinder is fully extended.

5.10 LIFT LIMIT SWITCH ________________________________________________________
The center lift arm is equipped with reed switches which
turns off the reels.The switch is mounted to the front axle
directly behind the lift arms. If reels continue to run when
lifted, or do not run when lowered inspect switch. Adjust or
replace switch as needed.
To adjust switch:
1.
Park tractor on a flat, level surface.
2.
Remove reel from lift arm.
3.
Turn ignition switch to the OFF position and remove
key.
4.
Add or remove shims as required to obtain air gap
between switch and arm of 0.090 to 0.120 in. (2 to 3
mm).
5.
Use a volt/ohm meter to determine when switch
contacts open or close.
6.
Raise lift arm (Z) manually until it is at an angle of 30°
above horizontal.
7.
With lift arm (Z) at 30°, adjust switch (Y) as required,
until switch contacts open. Secure switch in this
position.
8.
Manually lower lift arm. Switch contacts should close
when arm lowers below 30°.
Note: The reed switches set the point where the reels
turn off, not how high they will raise. The reels will
actually raise to a position slightly above 30°.
