Make sure the throttle lever is set to the SLOW position.

Hold firmly the engine upper cover or the tank and pull the starter handle slightly until you feel some resistance. Next, pull it
towards the arrow as shown below.

Make sure bystanders and animals are away from the sprayer. Also, make sure they are not behind you before pulling the starter
grip.
RECOMMENDATION Always pull the starter grip hard. If it is not pulled vigorously, there may be not sparks between the spark plug
electrodes and the engine will not start.

If the choke lever is moved to the CLOSED position to start the engine, move it gradually to the OPEN position while the engine
warms up.
CAUTION!
Do not let the starter handle snap back. Guide it slowly back to avoid damaging the starter mechanism.
