READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS THROUGHOUT
BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION
Important
Check the tub upon reception throughout (specifically, check for
visible damage to the exterior packaging). Notify the carrier if
damage is found, in accordance with the laws in force.
CHECK THAT THE ARRANGEMENTS ARE SUITED TO THE
INDICATIONS SHOWN ON THE PRE-INSTALLATION SHEET.
Wearing protective gloves, remove the tub from the package.
Lift it from the rim only.
Never
lift the tub by grasping the pipes.
Remove the protective film and check for faults.
Warranty for damage caused by shocks and scratches
will be void after installation.
Check the fastening of all clamps (rubber couplings and
air line tubes).
Whirlpool bath tubs must be installed on finished (tiled) walls
and floors. The panels allow access to the electromechanical
components under the tub and ensure appropriate ventilation
also for whirlpool air-water mixing functions
.
Ventilation must be ensured also if Jacuzzi® panels are
not used (see pre-installation sheet). The panels must be
stably fixed and a specific tool must be needed to
remove them. Ventilation openings, holes, and grids
must not allow the introduction of objects of diameter
larger than 12 mm.
PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
(
1 detail 1)
Where required, apply the seal with two-sided
adhesive tape (A) on the lower part of the tub edge after
having removed all traces of dirt. Remove the protective
backing (B) and apply the seal. Cut the part in excess
(detail 2)
.
(
2)
Position the tub in the installation place, level it and
adjust height by turning the feet (A) in the corners of the tub
by hand.
NOTE:
The upper surface of the tub measured from the edge of
the rim must be at a height of 57 cm from the floor (60 cm
Aquasoul Extra). The feet allow adjustment in the range from -
0.5 to +1.5 cm to compensate for differences in the floor level.
DO NOT LOOSEN THE LOCK NUTS (G) ON THE FRAMEWORK
SHOWN BY A LABEL WITH A RED ARROW (
3).
(
3)
Mark the hole for each external foot on the floor (one
hole is enough).
Move the tub and drill the floor. Arrange the screw anchors (B).
(
4)
Where required, arrange the fastening plate on the
floor in the corner where the tub will be installed and mark the
fastening holes. Move the plate (A) and drill the floor. Insert
the screw anchors (B) and fix with the specific screws (C).
(
5-6)
Rearrange the tub in the chosen position and check
that the central feet (A1) rest on the floor
(
2).
If the taps
are fitted on the edge of the tub, assemble before the tub is
positioned and fixed in the installation place.
FITTING THE TAPS
(where applicable)
Take the box containing the various tap components. Follow
the assembly instructions contained in the box.
NOTE: fit the tap on the tub away from the installation
area and however before fixing it to the floor.
WATER CONNECTIONS
(
7-7a-b-c-d-e-f) (
according to the model
)
At this point, fit
the drain pipe included following the instructions contained in
the box and connect it to the drain using the specific
adjustable siphon (included).
Aquasoul Extra 150x190.
(
8 detail 1-2)
Loosen the metallic strip from the rubber
fitting and remove the tube. Assemble the drain pipe and
engage the handle on the overflow
(detail 3)
. Refit the tube
on the rubber fitting and tighten the specific metallic strip
(detail 4-5)
.
Tubs filled from overflow:
If the tub is filled directly from the spout (through the
overflow), a specific DB type protection device (EN 1717)
must be installed and positioned at least 15 cm over the
tub rim. Ask your water board and/or your plumber for
details on system features (
9).
(
10
)
Connect the mixed water pipe (see pre-installation
card) to the drain pipe outlet. The pipe has a ø1/2” inlet. At
this point, fit the drain pipe contained in the packaging (see
attached instructions) and connect it to the drain by means of
a siphon.
Note:
if a metallic drain pipe is used (different from the one
provided), remember to connect it to the grounding contact
(see ELECTRIC SAFETY section).
Check that the column control, after closing the drain, is positioned
as shown in the figure
(
10
) .
(IEC 60334-1/A2 : 2006) the pressure in the plumbing
system feeding the device must not exceed 600 kPa (6 bars).
Be careful not to damage the siphon (which must fit
into the hole in the floor) when moving the tub.
