“AD” anti-pollution protection procedures. For further
information, we recommend you contact your water sup-
ply company and/or your plumber.
If included, connection of the blower (
2-2a-3-3a, detail 17
) to the
spa must be made by creating a siphon (
3-3a and 7, detail B
) as
near as possible to the spa itself. This will prevent situations where the
water might reach the blower and compromise its operation.
Electrical connections
For preparations/measuring the electric system that will supply the
spa, please note that powers in kW indicated in the “
Maximum
Absorption of the System
” table are to be considered as maximum
absorbed powers during operation.
Spa-pak “booster kit”:
in the instance where a spa-pak “boost-
er kit” is also installed, a separate supply line must be provided
and it must be connected to the main spa-pak; refer to the rela-
tive documentation.
SINGLE-PHASE BASE AND SINGLE-PHASE TOP
(
4
).
■
The electrical connection can be made as follows:
- single-phase line (220-240V 1~)
- three-phase line consisting of two phase cond
neutral conductor (380-415V 2N~)
- three-phase line consisting of three phase cond
neutral conductor (380-415V 3N~)
■
The rated power supply voltage of the equipment is
always 220-240V.
■
The equipment can also be installed in Countries
where the 220-240V voltage is supplied by a two-pha-
se system. For the connection please refer to the in-
struction manual.
The installer must in any case use properly protected cables
with a suitable cross-section (see the
minimum cross-sec-
tion
tables), with characteristics not inferior to type H 05 VV-F
(multipolar).

• SINGLE-PHASE TOP VERSION
THREE-PHASE TOP
(
5
).
The installer must use cables with a suitable cross-section (see
the
minimum cross-section
tables) protected with a sheath of Ø
32 mm at the terminal in question and/or tubes or pipes when car-
rying out connection to the main switch with characteristics not
inferior to type H05VV-F
(multipolar)
or H07 V-K
(unipolar)
.
• THREE-PHASE TOP VERSION
NOTE: The lead sections must take account not only the systems
absorption but also the cable path and the distances, the chosen
protection systems and the specific regulations for fixed electrical
systems in force in the country where the spa is installed.
Remember that it is compulsory to install a multiple-pole section switch
with characteristics that are no less than the ones given in the “Electrical
Safety” chapter and
4-5
, taking into account the maximum absorp-
tion of the system.
The installer must comply with the above regulations,
and also use
watertight connectors at connection points. He must also guar-
antee compliance with the specific current standards for systems
in the country in which the spa is installed.
Compliance with this regulation is obligatory: any other procedure is
prohibited.
Spa-Pak and balance tank
(the following considerations are also valid for the spa-pak
“booster kit”; refer to the relative documentation).
The Spa-Pak must be installed in a ventilated indoor area, which is only
accessible to those with a key or tools, and it must be protected from
water and bad weather.
N.B.
Since certain settings and general maintenance operations
require access to devices present on the Spa-Pak (heating temper-
ature setting, filter backwash, emptying the system, etc.), it is advis-
able to ensure easy access to the systems control.
The balance tank (to be installed as close as possible to the Hot tub
and the lowered platform,
2-2a-3-3a
) must be closed so that the
electrical devices on it are not accessible to the user without a key or
tools.
Ways of limiting access (for both the Spa-Pak and the balance tank) to
unauthorized persons must take into account electrical protection (direct
and indirect contact) and the characteristics of the materials used; in partic-
ular, any filler panels or structural parts, if made of conductive material, must
guarantee connection to the protection circuit (earth) and any supplemen-
tary equipotential connection, if required by the type of installation.
When plastic materials, wood, etc. are used, make sure that they are
approved for use with electrical installations, and approved for self-
extinguishing properties.
