ydromassage represents the art of loving oneself: there
is no correct time to use the hydromassage; the impor-
tant thing is to select the correct time, a time where you
can forget about the rest of the world and be at rest with your-
self...
“Water provides healing”
, affirmed the Abbot, Sebastian Kneipp
in the latter part of the nineteenth century, setting the founda-
tions for modern hydrotherapy: a healing method based upon
numerous water applications.
Partial and complete showers, cold, hot or steam baths, bare-
foot walks (even in seat water or streams) help us reawaken, all
thanks to the thermal contrast produced by cold and hot water,
natural self-healing mechanisms of the body.
The first reaction which can be felt on the skin is followed by
a second reaction which affects the internal body tissues, con-
nected to the surface via nerves: by acting on the blood con-
centration, a state of balance is applied to the body part to be
healed. A natural practice which stimulates innate healing, acti-
vating the aforementioned to re-stabilise the state of health.
