Electric connections and safety
The installer is responsible for choosing wires with characteristics
and nominal section that are suitable for the specific current input
of the hot tub (see pre-installation instructions).
The cable path, choice of materials and most suitable installation
solutions are left to the professional knowledge and experience of
the installer; it is his responsibility to guarantee and certify the in-
stallation.
I
Depending on the hot tub model proceed with the connec-
tion to the terminal block as indicated in the following dia-
grams.
NOTE: in the event of a two-phase + neutral power supply
(380-415 V 2N~), before connecting to the power supply y-
ou must first remove the indicated cables from the TB1 ter-
minal block and connect them to the TB2 terminal block
(the latter reserved for power supply of the heater).
A: factory configuration (valid for all models).
B: configuration valid only for the J-235/J-245/J-275/J-280
models.
I
In the event that not enough electricity is available, it is still pos-
sible to activate an electronic consumption limiter, operating with-
in the electronic control box (please refer to the wiring diagrams
included in this manual).
This operation can only be performed by authorised Jacuzzi®
technicians.
I
When installation is complete, the cable clamp and the cover
of the box must be hermetically closed.
Start-up instructions
Read each step in its entirety before proceeding with that
step.
I
Remove any dirt from the spa. Although the spa shell has
been polished at the factory, you may want to treat it with a
specially formulated spa cleaner and wax available from your
dealer prior to filling the first time.
I
Filling the spa
Remove the filter cover and the filter cartridge as indicated in
the chapter on cleaning the filter.
Position the end of the hose inside the filter connection and
fill the spa until the level of water covers all of the nozzles,
without however reaching the headrest.
Do not overfill your hot tub.
N.B.:
If your water is extremely hard, it is preferable to fill halfway
with hard water and the rest of the way with softened water.
Always fill the hot tub from the filter fitting so as to expel air
trapped in the pump intake. Otherwise, the air may remain in
the nozzle of pump, preventing the pump from circulating
the water.
After filling, make sure the filter is installed properly before ap-
plying power to the hot tub (refer to the chapter on cleaning
the filter).
I
Checks
Open the cabinet access panel and check all pump fittings to
make sure they are tight. Loosening can occur during shipping
and handling.
