pumps and the heater.
Use a vacuum or other means to keep the water from flooding the
system compartment.
- Replace the drain plugs.

Restarting your spa in cold weather
If you want to start up your spa after it has sat empty for a time
in freezing temperatures, check whether the water remaining in
certain sections of the piping is still frozen: this situation may
block water flow preventing the spa from operating properly
and possibly damaging the equipment.
We recommend you con-
sult your dealer for guidance before attempting to restart your spa
under these conditions.
Maintaining water quality
To reduce the risk of contracting water-related pathologies or re-
spiratory diseases, the water quality must be kept within the speci-
fied limits. This requires constant monitoring as the chemical aspect
involves a combination of different factors that need to be balanced.
Delaying water maintenance work leads to poor hygiene that is po-
tentially damaging to your health, and also has an impact on the li-
fe of the hot tub.
For a specific guide to maintaining water quality, consult the Jacuzzi®
system guide on water treatment and the relevant catalogue, and
contact your authorised Jacuzzi retailer.
CLEARRAY™ Water Purification System
The CLEARRAY water purification system is an exclusive tech-
nology that takes advantage of natural ultraviolet radiation to
eliminate bacteria, viruses and algae potentially present in
the hot tub water. Ultraviolet light, also known as UV-C or
germicidal light, neutralises these organisms, also breaking
down the DNA, so as to prevent reproduction.
The CLEARRAY system, which is directly connected to your
filtration system, works as follows:
- the water coming from the pump, from the filter and from
the heater is disinfected by ultraviolet light, after which it is
introduced back into the spa.
The system is equipped with a power converter whose oper-
ation is signalled by two LEDs: the red one indicates that the
device is powered, while the green one indicates that it is op-
erating correctly.
Note:
the CLEARRAY system only works when the jets pump
1 is operating at reduced speed (filtration, etc.).
After one year, the lamp must be replaced. If the UV timer has
been programmed correctly (please refer to the correspon-
ding section), at the end of the allotted time shown on the dis-
play, the message “blb” will appear, indicating the need to in-
stall a new UV lamp and to reset the timer.
UV lamp replacement and maintenance
of the quartz tube
To access the Clearray® device, it is necessary to remove the front
panel (or that of the audio system) and the right angle panel.
These operations should only be carried out by qualified
installers. Please read the instructions carefully before car-
rying out any operations involving the opening of the
Clearray® device.
WARNINGS
Do not look towards the UV lamp if it is turned on: this
can cause severe eye damage!
Do not power or turn on the Clearray® device during
maintenance operations.
Improper use of the device can cause UV-C rays to escape,
which even in small amounts can damage your skin and eyes.
