The chronograph is started and stopped by pressing on the
crystal at 12 o’clock, while the counters are reset by pressing
on the crystal in similar fashion, this time at 6 o’clock.

Operation of the chronograph and timing functions

The central direct‑drive seconds hand of the AMVOX2
DBS Transponder displays the chronograph seconds with an
eighth‑of‑a‑second definition. A counter at 3 o’clock times the
minutes up to 30 minutes (after 1 turn, it continues to count
another 30 minutes). Another counter at 9 o’clock times the
hours up to 12 hours (after one turn, it continues to count
another 12 hours).
‑  The chronograph function is started and stopped by press‑

ing on the crystal at 12 o’clock. Thus, by pressing once on
the crystal at 12 o’clock, the chronograph is activated. The
central direct‑drive seconds hand will turn, and the minute
and hour timing counters will run. Pressing on the crystal
again at 12 o’clock stops the chronograph and enables the
elapsed time to be read.

‑   Pressing on the crystal at 6 o’clock  resets the counters

and the central direct‑drive seconds hand. When timing is
in progress, pressing it has no effect.

Note: It is possible to add up several timing results by press‑
ing again on the crystal at 12 o’clock (without resetting the
counters). Timing will restart, added on to the previously
measured time.

Locking the chronograph functions

To prevent any inadvertent use of the chronograph functions,
your AMVOX2 DBS Transponder watch is equipped with a
locking device on the left‑hand flank of the case.

In its central position, you can use all the chronograph functions.
To lock all the chronograph functions (start, stop, reset), push
the locking device upward. If you then press on the crystal at 6
o’clock or 12 o’clock, since tilting movements are limited, all the
chronograph functions are locked.
To lock only the chronograph reset function, e.g. to measure
cumulative times without risking an inadvertent reset, push the
device downward. By pressing on the crystal at 12 o’clock, you
can start and stop timing. However, if you try to press on the
crystal at 6 o’clock, since the tilting movement in this position
is limited, the reset function is locked.
