Starting the watch
Crown in position 1
The watch can be started by turning the crown clockwise to wind on the barrel
of the second time zone and anti-clockwise to wind that of the reference time.
The watch is fully wound when the two power-reserve hands reach the “+”
symbol. There is no stop to tell you that the movement has been fully wound,
as excess winding is absorbed by a slipping spring. This prevents damaging the
going train.
Setting the time
Adjusting the globe position and indication of the 24-hour time zones
- The globe and the time zones are connected, enabling the globe and time
zone indication to be moved with the aid of the two push-pieces.
- These are based on the time zone of reference (the main time zones are
visible on the back of the piece). They can be aligned to the hour marker
which is found at 6 o'clock.
