The northern hemisphere countries which apply daylight
saving time do so between March/April and October:
–  In Europe (except Iceland): between the last Sunday of

March and the last Sunday of October.

–  In North America: between the first Sunday of April and

the last Sunday of October.

Some southern hemisphere countries also apply the hour
change, but on different dates. The three cities in this case,
shown on the time-zone disc of your watch, are Rio de
Janeiro, Auckland and Sydney, for which summer time runs
from October to February or March (according to annual
decrees).

Setting the date and local hour hand

The Master Compressor Diving Pro Geographic watch has a
local hour hand quick-setting function, which is also used for
setting the date.
In position 2, crown A can move the local hour hand in jumps
of 1 hour, while driving the date (in both directions). The minute
hand keeps running, maintaining an accurate watch setting.

1

st

operation:

setting the date

Crown A
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the
direction of the arrow.
Then pull crown A out to position 2.
The date can be corrected by one day by turning the local
hour hand through two revolutions of the dial (the hour hand
makes 1-hour jumps).
Turn the crown forward or backward (depending on the
closest distance between the indicated date and the desired
date), and turn the hour hand as many times as necessary
until the desired date is displayed.
Keep the compression key in the “open” position to go
directly to the 2

nd

setting below, for the hour hand.

2

nd

operation:

 setting the local hour hand

Crown A
The compression key is still in the “open” position.
Then pull crown A out to position 2.
Move the main hour hand (local time) forward or backward
past midnight to bring it to the desired time, in order to take
account of the date indicator:
-  You have turned the crown clockwise: if the date moves

forward when the hands pass midnight, you are moving
into the morning.

-  You have turned the crown anti-clockwise: if the date

moves backward when the hands pass midnight, you are
moving back into the evening.

Once the operation is complete, push the crown back into
position 1 and turn the compression key to the “closed”
position in the direction of the arrows.

Correcting the local time setting when travelling and
changing between summer time/winter time

Go directly to the 2

nd

operation to quickly set your watch for

simple hour changes (in cases not involving minute or date
changes). For example, when setting the time for your new
local time zone when travelling, or changing between summer
time and winter time.

Make sure to turn the compression key to the “open” position
in the direction of the arrow first, whenever you want to
change the local hour hand in this configuration.

Selecting the city for automatic time display of the second
time zone

Following the above settings, the hour hand in the second
time zone dial will indicate the same time as the hour hand
in the main dial. This phenomenon is normal, since the dial at
6 o’clock indicates the city in your local time zone. The city
selection function is operational.
NB: before selecting the city, you need to ensure that the
synchronisation crown (crown A at 2 o’clock) has been
pushed back into position 1 (not pulled out). Failure to comply
with this order might damage the correction mechanism.
Crown B
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the
direction of the arrow.
Then pull crown B out to position 2.
Turn crown B clockwise or anti-clockwise, to display the city
desired for the second time zone at 6 o’clock opposite the
triangular marker. The hour for the selected time zone will
then be displayed automatically in the sub-dial at 9 o’clock,
directly with 24-hour accuracy.

functions

Diving bezel

The Master Compressor Diving Pro Geographic watch is
equipped with a one-way rotating bezel (i.e. one that can only
be turned anti-clockwise), with a mark every minute.
It can measure a particular time using the luminous white
triangular marker as a reference point in relation to the hour
hand or minute hand.
To use the diving bezel, you need only grip it with two fingers
and turn it anti-clockwise to the desired position.
