DIVING FLANGE
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner
Date watch model features a unidirection-
al rotating flange (can only be turned an-
ti-clockwise), with an index marking every
minute. It can measure a particular time
using the luminescent white triangular
marker as a reference point in relation to
the hour hand or minute hand.
To set the diving flange, crown A can be
unscrewed by turning it anti-clockwise.
When the crown is unscrewed, an orange
ring is visible. You can now set the diving
flange. To do so, simply rotate crown A
clockwise to the desired position. Once
the flange has been set, remember to
retighten the crown to lock the flange and
ensure the watch’s water resistance.
Note: if the orange ring is visible, the
watch’s water resistance is not guaran-
teed and the flange is not locked.
