Tap an
icon
that represents the command you want, or enter the
shortcut
for the command in the text
input area below the command toolbar. For example, to choose select all in the edit menu, draw the
Graffiti 2 command stroke in the text area to display the command toolbar; then draw the letter S. Note
that if you wait more than three seconds to draw the shortcut letter, you’ll have to redraw the Graffiti 2
command stroke to redisplay the command toolbar.
Display tips
Many of the dialogs that appear on your handheld computer contain a
tips icon in the upper right corner. Tips anticipate questions you may
have and provide shortcuts for using the dialog or other useful
information.
1.
Tap the
tips icon
(the lowercase I in the upper right corner of the
dialog).
2.
Tap
done
after reading the tip.
Enter data
You can enter data into your Janam XP20 in five ways:
•
Using the onscreen keyboard
•
Using Graffiti 2
•
Using an external keyboard
•
Entering or importing data in (device desktop software), and then synchronizing with your
handheld computer
•
Scanning a barcode
Customize
To select preferences:
You set preferences to customize your device. To select the preferences screen, do the following:
1.
Tap the
applications launcher
icon.
2.
Select all or system
from the
pick list
in the upper right corner of the screen.
3.
Tap
prefs
.
To change owner preferences on your handheld computer:
1.
Tap
owner
from the pick list in the upper right corner from the
preferences screen
.
2.
Enter the
text
you want to associate with your handheld computer on the
owner preferences
screen.
If you enter more text than can fit on one screen, a scroll bar appears at the right side of the screen.
If you assigned a password to your device using the security application, you must unlock the owner
preferences screen to change the information on it.
To unlock the owner preferences screen:
1.
Display the
owner preferences
screen.
2.
Tap
unlock
.
3.
Enter your
current password

OK
.
4.
Edit the
owner preferences
text as desired.
