Disabling Connectivity
In conditions where it is not necessary to maintain Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or cellular wireless*
connectivity, battery power can be conserved and battery life extended by disabling
any or all of these connectivity functions.
* Applies only to WWAN cellular signal-enabled version
To disable connectivity functions:
1.
From the
Home
screen, touch the
Settings
icon.
2.
Touch the
ON
or
Off
buttons of Wi-Fi and/or
Bluetooth to enable or disable either or both
functions (Figure 38).
3.
Touch the
Home
icon when preferred settings
have been made.
Airplane Mode
Airplane mode disables all RF (radio frequency) functionality.
To activate or deactivate Airplane mode:
1.
Press and
HOLD
the
Power key
until the
Power Off
options
menu is displayed (Figure 39).
2.
Touch
Airplane mode

If the
Airplane mode
was
Off
, this will activate it,
changing it to
On
and return to the screen last in use.

, this will activate it,
changing it to
Off
and return to the screen last in use.
