Charging the XT1 Mini-Tablet

Charging with a Janam XT1 Ethernet/USB cradle kit:
Note:
The following applies to the Janam single-
slot Ethernet/USB and six-slot cradle kits.
1.
Insert the female mini-barrel plug
(Figure 3) of the cradle
kit’s AC power supply into the cradle’s mating male receptacle
(Figure 4).
2.
Plug the female end of the AC line cord
into 2-pin
receptacle
on the (brick style) power supply (Figure 3.)
3.
Plug in the power supply
. Use only easily accessible wall
outlets that are well within reach of the
length of supplied power cable.
4.
Place the XT1 mini-tablet in the cradle.
The mini-tablet’s
Power Indicator
LED
will illuminate to confirm
connection. Red indicates charging.
Green indicates fully charged.

XT1 Mini USB Port connected to AC wall mount adapter kit

Full operational power is provided to the device
•
Full battery charging power is provided to the device
XT1 Mini USB Port connected to a PC’s USB port

XT1 will be recognized by the host PC as an external
storage device, enabling data interchange
•
Low operational power is provided to the XT1
•
Slow battery charging power is provided to the device
•
Slow charging is insufficient to maintain the battery level while the XT1 is powered on.
•
To charge the XT1 battery from a PC, power the XT1 off.
•
The XT1 battery meter will NOT indicate Charging when the XT1 is (1) powered on and (2) connected
to a PC’s USB port via the XT1’s mini USB Port. In this instance, the USB trickle charge is insufficient
to power the device AND charge simultaneously. However, with the XT1 connected to a PC’s USB port
via the XT1’s mini USB Port AND the XT1 powered OFF, the XT1 LED battery indicator will turn RED,
indicating a state of slow charging.
