HOG – Version 3.20
To release a cuelist or macro running on a virtual master, hold down the cuelist/macro
button on the menu bank and press Release. If you are using an HOG 500, this is not
possible.
Macrocues and Macros
Macrocues are cues that store keypreses and other actions that the user may perform such as mouse clicks
and button presses. When the cue is executed the keypresses or action is regenerated. Macrocues are stored
in cuelists and can be freely mixed with look, link and mark cues that normally make up cuelists.
Recording Macros
Keypresses can be recorded interactively. Keypresses are always recorded into cuelists in the macro
directory. To begin recording keypresses:

Type in the number of a blank macro cuelist and press
ENTER

All subsequent button presses will be recorded into the cuelist. If the ‘
Learn Macro Timing’
Option
in the control panel window is set then the time interval between the previous and current button press will
also be recorded.
Only one macro can be recorded at a time; the console will not allow you to record another macro if a
macro is already being recorded.
Stop Recording
To stop recording:

To see the cuelist that has just been recorded press and hold
Pig
, then press
Macro
. The macro window
will appear. Use the cursor keys to place the selection box around the macro cuelist that has just been
recorded and then whilst holding

press
ENTER
. A cuelist window will appear that contains the
macrocues that have just been recorded.
Appending To A Macro Cuelist
To append to a macro:

Press the Macro Palette button corresponding to the
cuelist that is to be appended.

Type the number of the cuelist that is to be appended.
You cannot append to a macro that is being played.
You cannot append to a macro if you are already recording a macro.
Replaying Macro Cuelists
Macro cuelists are normally replayed on virtual masters. See the section entitled Virtual Masters for a more
complete description of virtual masters. In general however, selecting an entry in the macro directory or
pressing and releasing a macro palette button will run the macro.
