This knit stitch is ideal for sewing swimwear and
stretch velour because it provides the greatest
amount of elasticity and strength.
Place your fabric to allow a 5/8˝ (1.6 cm) seam.
Trim the seam allowance after sewing.
This stitch is used to finish a raw edge on
synthetics and other fabrics that tend to pucker.
Place the fabric to leave a 5/8˝ (1.6 cm) allowance.
Trim the extra allowance after sewing.
It is also used for mending tears.
Use a short stitch length (0 – 1) for mending tears.
