Draw the thread from the spool. Hold the upper
thread at the spool with your finger.

Slip the thread under the thread guide from the
right and down along the right channel.
Be sure that the thread passes between the
tension disks.

Then draw the thread around the bottom of the
thread guide plate.

Raise the presser foot.
Press the Up/Down needle
button to raise the thread
take-up lever to its highest
position.

Firmly draw the thread up along the left channel to
the thread take-up lever and down into its eye from
the right to the left.
