MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT
NEEDLE POSITION
TO CHECK:
1.
Set the machine as follows:
STITCH SELECTOR ...........
STITCH WIDTH DIAL .......... 6.5
2.
Turn the handwheel toward you until the needle comes to the center position.
3.
The needle should not move when you turn the stitch width dial at " 0 ".
ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE:
1.
Remove the top cover. (See page 4)
2.
Turn the handwheel toward you until the needle comes to the center of the slit in the needle
plate.
3.
Loosen setscrews (A) and (B).
4.
Tighten setscrew (A) slightly.
5.
Move the plate (C) to either direction as shown by the arrow until the needle ceases
movement, even if the dial is moved from maximum zigzag width to zero.
