Check:
1. Turn the power switch ON while pressing the Start/Stop
button and the Reverse stitch button to enter the factory
setting mode.
Press "Needle Thread" key.
2. Press the needle up/down button twice to raise the needle
to its highest position.
3. Press "Down" key.
The needle threader will automatically go down and the
threader hook comes out through the needle eye from
behind and stop.
If the threader hook is off the needle eye and cannot go
through it, adjust as follows;

Needle threader hook position adjustment
The threader hook comes out through the needle eye from behind when the needle threader button is pressed.
Adjustment:
1. Be sure that the hook timing and the needle bar height is
correct before this adjustment (see pages 19 and 20).
2. Turn the handwheel counterclockwise slowly until the "NT
Phase" changes from "H" to "L".
Turn the handwheel clockwise very slightly until the "NT
Phase" changes from "L" to "H".
3. Press the "Adjust" key.
The needle threader will automatically go down.
4. Press the "Dn" key until the threader hook comes just
behind the needle eye.
5. Adjust the hook position horizontally or vertically as
necessary;
Vertical hook position adjustment:
Loosen the hexagonal socket screw.
Adjust the clearance between the bottom of the rotation pin
stopper and the top of the needle bar supporter to 2.7 mm.
Tighten the hexagonal socket screw.
Horizontal hook position adjustment:
Loosen the setscrew with a screwdriver and adjust the
hook position to the left or right so the hook can go through
the needle eye from behind.
Tighten the setscrew.
6. Press the "Dn" key until the hook comes out through the
needle eye as shown.
Press the "Set" key.
7. Press the "Top" key to raise the needle threader.
Press the "Down" key.
Be sure that the threader hook comes out through the
needle eye from behind.
