Diagnostics Tests
Motor Sensor Test
The Motor Sensor Test helps you determine if there
may be a problem with the Quilt Maker Pro 18 Versa
motor. Slowly rotating the hand wheel should result in an
audible beep. If you get a constant solid beep or no beep
at all, this indicates a failed test and the machine should
be inspected by a quali fied Janome repair technician.
Press the
HOME
button to return to the Main menu
screen or the
Tools
button to return to the Diagnostics
menu screen .
Speed Sensor Test
The Speed Sensor test can helps determine if there is
a problem with the Quilt Maker Pro 18 Versa speed
sensor. Before performing this test, remove the bobbin
case and the top thread. Press the foot pedal so that the
machine will begin slowly running. The white box will
show a number that should stabilize at 100 if the sensor
is functioning properly. Release the foot pedal to stop
the ma chine .

button to return to the Main menu
screen or the
Tools
button to return to the Diagnostics
menu screen .
Rotate the hand wheel
SLOWLY.
Passing Test:
Regular pulsing beeps as you rotate the
hand wheel.
Failing Test:
A solid tone or no beeping at all as you
rotate the hand wheel.
Remove the bobbin case and
top thread.
Clear all objects from the needle area.
Press the start button.
Passing Test:
The value stabilizes at 100.
