inner ring assembly tool, part num-
ber 8039090, is available to assemble inner
ring (item 20) onto pinion gear (item 19).
5.1.3 Make sure the beveled end of external re-
taining ring (item 10) is facing away from
crown gear teeth (item 13).
See Figure 3 be-
low.

6 MOTOR DISASSEMBLY:
6.1 Remove blade as described in section 2.
6.2 Remove gear housing as described in section 4.
6.3 Remove (4) cheese head screws (item 15), mo-
tor front cover (item 24), o-ring (item 25) and ro-
tor assembly (items 26-29, 37 and 38) from
housing (item 31).
6.4 Place front cover and rotor assembly in arbor
press and press rotor (item 28) and shaft cou-
pling (item 37) from motor front cover (item
24).
6.5 Remove internal retaining ring (item 38).
6.6 Press ball bearing (item 26) from front motor
cover (item 24).
6.7 Place rotor (item 28) in arbor press and press
shaft coupling (item 37) and square key (item
27) from rotor.
6.8 Turn rotor around and press ball bearing (item
29) from rotor (item 28).
6.9 Remove o--ring (item 30) from housing (item
31).
6.10 Inspect all parts for wear and replace if neces-
sary.

rotor and motor cover assembly tool,
part number 8039089, is available to as-
semble rotor and shaft coupling (items 28
and 37) into cover and bearing (items 24 and
26).
7.1.2 Make sure the beveled end of internal re-
taining ring (item 38) is facing toward rotor
and shaft coupling (items 28 and 37).

8 REAR HANDLE DISASSEMBLY FOR DC
BRAKE MODELS:
8.1 Remove oval head screws (items 43 and 58).
8.2 Remove rear handle cover (item 64) and gasket
(item 65).
8.3 Disconnect input wiring from terminals on elec-
tric switches (item 69).
Make note of wiring
connection locations for re--assembly.
8.4 Remove switch and lever assembly (items
69-75).
