INSPECTION
Thoroughly inspect the shower bath upon receipt, especially if
the shipping carton is damaged, to insure it was not damaged
during transit. If damage is discovered it must be noted on the
bill of lading and a freight claim must be properly filed with the
carrier. The installer is responsible for insuring that the unit is
free from defects or damage before installation. In the event of
a problem the unit
MUST NOT
be installed.
Damage to the unit during installation is the
responsibility of the installer.
ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS ON
ACRYLIC SURFACE MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION
. Inspect the base and accessories for
missing or damaged components. Alert your distributor of any
discrepancies. To protect unit from damage, keep shower bath
in carton until ready for installation.
INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Read all instructions carefully before beginning installation.
Protect the acrylic shower bath surface from damage during
installation with a suitable material, i.e., cardboard and/or
plastic film. Position the shower bath in the area of intended
installation. The approximate shower bath dimensions are
shown in
Figure 3
, "
SHOWER BATH DIMENSIONS."
Construct the framing to support the shower bath's lip if the
shower bath is to be installed in an alcove
(See Figure 1)
. A
finish frame should be constructed under the shell rim to
support the shower bath lip and level the shower bath deck to
assist the draining of any water on the deck of the shower bath
into the bath well. This frame is not intended to support the full
shower bath weight
(See Figure
1)
.100% Silicone with mildew
resistant properties should be applied between the water
resistant backer board and the deck of the bath.
Install the drain and overflow assembly to the shower bath shell
according to the instructions and position the shower bath in
the area of intended installation.
NOTE: The shower bath is equipped with a pre-leveled
full support base
designed to provide level support if installed
on a firm, level, and flat surface
(See Figure 1)
. Mortar is
required when the subfloor is not smooth and level.
See USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS on page 2 for
humidity and mold prevention suggestions prior to Instal-
lation.
