• Keep all plastic bags and packaging materials out of the reach of children. They are potentially dangerous.
• Do not connect the appliance to the mains without checking that the voltage on the rating plate and that of
your household are the same.
• Verify that the plug has an adequate earth base.
• VERY IMPORTAT: Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
• Don’t allow children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
• The metallic parts of the appliance may reach high temperatures when the appliance is on.
• Do not use the toaster but to toast bread.
• Do not spread butter or any other fat on the bread before inserting in the toaster.
• Bread may burn; bread toasters must not be used in the proximity of, or under curtains or other flammable
materials. They must be kept under surveillance.
• This appliance is not intended for using with an external timer or a separate system of remote control.
• The cleaning and maintenance done by users, can not be done by children unless they are over 8 years and they
are under supervision.
• This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
• If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by an Authorised Service Centre.
INTRUCTIONS OF USE
• Before switch on the appliance to the mains remove the lid (6).
• Connect the appliance into the mains and select the toasting level with the regulator knob (2).
• In order to check the desired toasting you require initially, we recommend you to set the regulator knob (2) to
a medium position modifying it later to adapt it to your taste.
• Put the bread into the slot (4) and press the control knob (1) down.
• Once the bread is toasted, the slices of toast will appear in the top of the slot (4). To facilitate their extraction
and avoid touching the metallic hot parts, lift the control knob (1) and remove them.
• If you wish to stop the toasting process, place the regulator knob (2) in the “CANCELAR” position. The toaster
will disconnect itself automatically and the slices of toast will appear in the upper slot.
• While the toaster is working it is important to keep the crumb-collector tray (3) in place.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before you proceed to cleaning make sure the toaster is unplugged from the mains and allow it to cool.
• Open the crumb-collector tray (3) by keeping pressed the clutch.
• Replace the tray to its original position, being sure the clutch is correctly fixed.
• Do not insert any type of object.
• Use a dry cloth to clean the exterior.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical products, such a metallic scourers, which may deteriorate the surfaces of the
appliance.
• To store the toaster, wait until is totally cold, place the lid and you can roll up the cord in the cord collector (5)
placed in the base of the appliance.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
• Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
• Never throw it away to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.
