TWIN NEEDLE SEWING
Your sewing machine is designed for twin needle
sewing, which allows your machine to sew with
two top threads. You can use the same colour or two
different colours of thread for decorative stitches. Twin
needle sewing works well with these stitches: the
Straight Stitch (1), the Zigzag Stitch (2) and the Triple
Stretch Stitch (12).
Inserting the twin needle
Insert in the same way as a single needle (refer to page
13). The flat side of the needle should face toward the
back and the rounded side should face toward you.
Placing the extra spool pin
Place the vertical spool pin in the hole found on top of
the machine near horizontal spool pin. Place the second
spool of thread onto the vertical spool pin, as shown in
fig. A.
Twin needle threading
Each needle should be threaded separately.
1. Threading the right needle
Follow the same instructions as for single threading
(refer to page 23 for more details)
2. Threading the left needle
Thread the Leith needle as the right one, but do not
pass the thread through the thread guide above the
needle before passing it through the eye of the left
needle, as shown in fig B

COSTURA COM AGULHA DUPLA
A máquina de costura foi concebida para poder utilizar
uma agulha dupla e permitir a costura com duas linhas
superiores. Pode usar a mesma cor de linha ou duas
linhas de cores diferentes para pontos decorativos. As
costuras com agulha dupla dão muito bons resultados
com os seguintes pontos: ponto a direito (1), ponto zig-
zag (2) e o ponto elástico triplo (12).
Para introduzir a agulha dupla
Introduza da mesma forma que uma agulha simples
(veja página 13). A parte plana da agulha deve ficar
virada para a parte de trás da máquina, enquanto que a
parte arredondada deve ficar virada para si.
Colocação do eixo do carro adicional
Coloque o eixo do carro vertical no orifício previsto por
cima da máquina, perto do eixo horizontal. Coloque o
segundo carro de linhas no eixo porta-carros vertical,
tal como se indica na figura A.
Passagem da linha na agulha dupla
Deve passar as linhas por cada uma das agulhas em
separado.
1. Passagem da linha na agulha direita
Siga as mesmas instruções que para a passagem da
linha de uma só agulha (veja página 23)
2. Passagem da linha na agulha esquerda
Passe a linha da agulha esquerda da mesma forma
que na agulha direita, mas sem passar a linha
pela guia situada por cima da agulha. Passe-a
directamente pelo orifício da agulha esquerda, tal
como se mostra na figura B.
